Country & Western Style Wedding Dress

Country & Western themed weddings can be brilliant fun, whether you want the whole day to have a cowboy theme or just the party in the evening, you’ll be set for a fun time with line dancing and maybe a hog roast or bbq.  If you’re going the whole hog and having the entire day with a country and western theme you’ll need to think about your wedding dress.  With all the very sophisticated or minimal designer dresses about that cost a fortune you’ll find it difficult to buy a new dress unless you go bespoke, so the best idea is to go vintage and the best era for country and western style dresses is the 1980′s.  Oh yes, all those frills, lace and puff shoulders are the perfect style.  The one pictured above is from Oxfam and of course is one of a kind, but you will always find something along these lines in a charity shop, and it will be cheap too.  This one has a long train which ideally you’d need to remove to leave an ankle skimming length to show off your cowboy boots!  Pop a white Stetson on your head and decorate with some flowers or a gingham scarf and you’ll be ready to say ‘I doe-se-doe’!

If you’re looking to go more down the ‘Daisy Duke’ sexy cowgirl route, then something simple like this South lace detail cotton dress from Kays is perfect with tanned legs, boots and hat, and again accessorise with wild flowers for a natural and cute look.
