Vintage Boat Neck Wedding Dress for Audrey Hepburn Style
By Lisa on Jul 21, 2008 with Comments 3
We’ve seen so many strapless wedding dresses of late that it’s really refreshing to see some gorgeous retro styles coming back. My favourite is this Carmin wedding gown from Pronovias Vintage collection, which exudes sophisticated couture chic. The boat neck is extremely flattering, whatever your body shape and the bodice is beautifully fitted to a high waist where it then falls out to a full skirt. The neat ribbon at the waist and faint polka dot fabric give it real 50′s charm. Audrey Hepburn always looked the epitome of sophistication in a boat neck dress and both her wedding outfits, designed by Givenchy, had a high neck, so if you’re looking for that feminine elegance, the Carmin gown at £1760 could be the dress for you.

Well! I have visited your site..Your wedding dress information is informative.
Hi,
I am looking for the 1950′s Carmin wedding gown, audrey Hepburn style featured on this home page, carmin gown, by Stephanie Allin. I tried the Pronovias collection but could not find it.
I would be grateful if you could help me,
Many Thanks,
Helen
Hi Helen, this article was posted last July and the Carmin dress was from the Pronovias Vintage Collection (2008). If you click on the link in the article to the Pronovias website they will have a list of suppliers near you that should be able to tell you if you can still get hold of that dress. Stephanie Allin and Sassi Holford are two other designers who have some vintage style gowns in their collections. Good luck.
