Couple get married in Sainsburys

The BBC news website is carrying a story of a couple who got married in the Sainsurys store where they met and both work. I had to check the date that it isn’t April 1st, but no, this is no joke. Bless them they seem like a lovely but slightly ‘off the wall’ kind of couple (take a look at the vows they each took and the music they had). I suppose there are a couple of good points to getting married in the supermarket you work in, firstly if any of your colleagues can’t make the wedding because they are working, they will be able to saunter down the aisle (quite literally) and watch the ceremony, the other thing is that guests who have forgotten to get you a card or gift will be able to grab something whilst they are there. If you’re going to get married in a supermarket, Sainsburys is the one to do it in, Aldi and Lidl just wouldn’t have the same ambience!
