Lavender Pot Table Decoration – Smells Divine

Lavender

If you’re looking to decorate your venue yourself to save some money, have a look at some of the top florists styles and see if you can get some inspiration from them.  Purple is a big trend for 2008 both in the home and on the catwalk, whether it’s full on 70′s purple or muted tones such as lilac and lavender.  For a pretty table setting and to make your venue smell gorgeous, nip down to your local garden centre and pick up some lavender pots.  You can then place them in plain white plant pots or wrap the base in tissue paper and tie with coordinating ribbon.   Depending on the size of your tables, place them at equal distances along the table with candles in between to give a romantic look.  If you don’t have the time to find a garden centre there are now many online garden centres such as Van Meuwen where you will find lots of product information and good prices on bulk purchases.  The only problem you may have is that online garden centres are geared up for serving gardeners so will ship plants when it is the best planting time, which may not coincide with your wedding.
