Eco Friendly Marquee from Papakata – tipi style

Eco Marquee

These unusual looking tee pee style marquees wont just look great at your wedding venue they are made entirely out of natural materials which is great for the couple for looking for a eco friendly wedding.

The company behind these wonderful wig wams is Papakata and they also do their bit to be carbon neutral by planting trees to compensate for the planning, holding, and packing up at the event.

The tents come in a variety of sizes so dont worry if your first thought is a picture of your wedding guests huddled around a campfire toasting marshmallows.  In fact, for bigger events these unique interlock together in a variety of different floorplan styles.  The tents are comparable in price to a standard marquee but we think these are far more stylish.

  1. [...]   If you’re concerned about the carbon footprint of your wedding with all the extravagance that often accompanies wedding celebrations, choose a venue that will ease your conscience and take all the guess work out of it for you.  The Matara Centre in Gloucestershire  will plant a tree for each wedding to offset carbon emissions and recycles water using their reed bed pond system.  For your actual wedding and reception they will source local in season products, using organic where possible and only use natural flower petals as confetti.    To find an ethical wedding venue near you check out Eco-Friendly Weddings Directory.  If you are all ready fairly clued up and want to host your own reception then choose an eco-chic marquee from PapaKata.  [...]

I would definitely check our site out, as our dome marquees ar award winning, made in UK and we have local marquee hire branches throughout the country

You are having a laugh aren’t you Alex, your dome 3d marquee tents are made of man made materials using oil which are no doubt processed on the other side of the world even if manufactured in the UK. Plus your company has no indication of any consideration for the environment whatsoever. Cheeky boy for posting on an eco marquee article indeed!

  5. Newstead and Annesley Country Park, Nottinghamshire

Our beautiful 220 acre eco-friendly park just North of Nottingham is available to hire for your event. You may be looking for a special space to erect a marquee for your wedding or special event, a venue for your adventure sports company, somewhere to hold a pagan hand fasting ceremony or a posh camping site. Newstead and Annesley Country Park is the perfect venue for all these and more!
We are a park with a difference.

The park is run by Newstead Enterprise – a company created by the community in Newstead Village to help create a better future for ourselves. We are run by volunteers who care passionately about the village, the Park and creating a legacy for future generations.

The Park is situated in Nottinghamshire five minutes stroll away from Newstead Train station and 3 mile drive from junction 27 of the M1.

Built on the site of the former colliery pit tips, the whole area has amazing wildlife interest. The village is working with a number of environmental groups to protect and enhance the area, half of which is a ‘Site of Importance for Nature Conservation’.

At the heart of our Park is our eco-build Visitor Centre (due to open later in 2011) – based on the earthship method of construction – being a building which is pushing the boundaries of green technology and hand built by members of our community. The visitor centre will also be available to hire for events towards the end of 2011.

There is a B&B in Annesley Village and a hotel within a few minutes taxi ride. Alternatively you could use our local Yurt/Tipi company and make a weekend of it on the park itself. Perhaps you’d like to get married at the local Abbey and hold your reception in our country park? You may be an adventure company looking for a zorbing venue……The possibilities are endless.

We welcome everyone to our park – and look forward to hosting many events that fit with our ethos. All types of events are welcome. Please visit our website: www.newsteadandannesleycountrypark.com or contact to see how we can support you in creating your event.
