Get plonko with a wine wedding gift list from The Real Wine Company

I am not sure the message that The Real Wine Companyis trying to convey will fit in too well with the Government’s latest drink sensibly campaign. Basically, its just an excuse to get trolley loads of fine wine from your guests in the form of wedding gifts. Now, if ever there was a good excuse to get married this is it (just don’t write it in to the exchange of vows !)
If your anything like me you probably don’t know the difference between a fine wine and a bottle of Jacobs Creek. Well that’s not the point. We all like to think we are drinking something special and who better to teach us than Mark Hughes. No, not the ex Man United and Welsh International but the former Wine Controller for Safeway and UK Sales and Marketing Director for Hardy’s Australian Wines. To quote the man himself :
We feel that supermarkets can be a bit like a jumble sale where you can occasionally find a bargain. We see ourselves as prospectors on behalf of our customers; finding valuable nuggets for us all to enjoy year in, year out.
Setting up a wine wedding gift looks pretty straightforward and you can see a sample gift list by typing “example” in the wedding sign in box on the wine gift list page. You can add as many wines (or gift vouchers) to your list as you like and you also get to choose a delivery date so you can, if you wish, have your fine wines on the table for your reception. Alternatively, why not have the wines delivered to your home after the honeymoon and let your guests make do with the venue’s house wine.
By the way, if you do go for a wedding wine list and you end up with wine you dont like the taste of please send unwanted bottle to the Weddingo Team here. Any donations will go towards writing some of our more jolly blog entries.
