Halter Neck Wedding Dress from Amanda Wyatt
By Matt on Mar 15, 2008 with Comments 5
This beautiful chiffon gown from Amanda Wyatt is called Hayley and continues the trend of feminine christian names in a bid to cover just about every girls name in the fashion A to Z. It has a pleated bodice with Swarovski crystals details and a soft chiffon halter neck. The back of the gown laces up and is finished with with crystal detailing. It is available in ivory white and blush pink.
You tend to need a little up front cleavage to pull something like this off which is typical of most halter neck wedding dress designs. Interestingly, the word halter is from the German word Büstenhalter which directly translates into English as “busts-holder”. They did’nt teach me words like that in GCSE German. If an ample bosom is not your concern then the beauty of this design is in the thick neck strap which could quite comfortably conceal the thin straps of a halter-neck bra. Always remember that comfort is just as important as design on your wedding day.
Amanda Wyatt is nationwide so you should’nt have any problems in finding a local stockist. The Hayley design was in the shops last season but continues this year as a favourite alongside new designs in their 2008 release. In fact, Amanda Wyatt has such a large collection you will probably find a dress with your name on it …. literally.

Interestingly (well, sort of), Germans call Halternecks “Neck holders”. Literally, using the English words, while in English a German word is used. Odd. Lovely dress!
